At Heswall, the natural world is very important to us and we have been an award winning eco-school for a long time.
Our Eco-Council is run by Mrs Wright and her team of class representatives. They have made such a difference to the school through planting hundreds of trees, recycling and reducing waste, looking after the school wildlife such as the hedgehogs and represent the school at events such as Cool Heswall.
They have also introduced walk to school initiative – Living Streets to cut down on the carbon footprint of each morning and afternoon drop-off.
The Eco-Council also regularly organise litter picks both on the school grounds and around the local community including Whitfield Common.
